Many of our couples travel to California from across the country—and often carry their bouquet for several days before exchanging their vows.
This is not only expected; it is part of our design process.
Every Wilder Bouquet is carefully timed to reach its fullest beauty on your wedding day, not necessarily the day it leaves the studio. Flowers continue to awaken after they’re designed, gently unfurling as they drink and hydrate.
Your bouquet is conditioned for travel, packaged in fresh water, and accompanied by detailed care instructions and flower food. When kept in a cool room and refreshed with clean water each day, it will continue opening naturally, becoming even more luminous as your wedding approaches.
It is a quiet transformation we look forward to—and one we intentionally design for.
Each bouquet is designed with the expected bloom progression of its specific flowers in mind.
FAQ
How many days before my wedding can I pick up my bouquet?
Most couples collect their bouquet one to three days before their ceremony, particularly for destination elopements in Big Sur, Carmel, Santa Barbara, and along California’s Central Coast.
Because each bouquet is designed with its bloom stage in mind, collecting it a few days early allows many of the flowers to continue opening into their most beautiful form by the time your vows are spoken.

Will my bouquet still be fresh?
Yes. In many cases, it will be even more beautiful.
We intentionally select flowers at the appropriate stage of opening and condition them carefully before design. As they continue drinking water over the next day or two, many varieties gently unfurl even more, creating the lush, romantic movement that defines a Wilder Bouquet.

Together, we'll explore the details that make your bouquet uniquely yours—your favorite places, the landscape surrounding your vows, your gown, your color palette, meaningful flowers, treasured memories, and even the fragrances that have become part of your story.
From these conversations, Wilder Floral Co. composes a bouquet that becomes more than a floral arrangement. It becomes a sensory portrait of the woman carrying it.
Your experience includes a personal design consultation, a thoughtfully curated inspiration board, and a custom Botanical Story Card describing the flowers selected and the meaning behind each ingredient—a keepsake designed to be tucked into your wedding album for years to come.
